Foxglove Cottage is a one-bedroom deluxe, self-catering cottage, featuring soft, pressed bed sheets, (that makes going to bed so much more alluring!), complimentary dressing gowns to lounge in after the spa and luxury toiletries from the fabulous Irish brand, The Handmade Soap Company.
There really is no better way to unwind than to slip into the warm water (drawn straight from our own fresh water well) and relax as the soft spa bubbles gently massage your skin.
Our big cosy couch, featuring luxury furnishings from McNutt of Donegal, is ideal for snuggling up in front of the wood-burning stove, playing board games or just watching a movie on our 42" TV.
We understand that whilst most guests will come to Foxglove Cottage to relax, unwind and switch-off, some may need to have a bit of a working holiday. Our fast broadband internet connection means uninterrupted connection even here in rural West Cork - ideal for streaming your favourite shows or working remotely.
Foxglove Cottage is our little family business. We have put our hearts and soul into creating the most perfect romantic and relaxing getaway, for couples and for dog lovers alike - as we are a dog friendly too!
Located a 10 minute drive away from the lively village of Ballydehob, 15 mins from Skibbereen and Bantry, it is the perfect hub from which to explore the highlights of beautiful West Cork.
Important information about Foxglove Cottage
Foxglove is a one-bed luxury self-catering cottage, near Ballydehob, West Cork. It features one large King size bed, a fully equipped chef's kitchen with every thing you could need to cook up a storm!
The interior design of the cottage has been carefully thought out to create the perfect romantic accommodation for couples or indeed a wellness break for you and your dog.
A car is essential to get to the property as we are a 10 minute drive from the nearest village of Ballydehob. (6km away)
We are dog friendly, as we know how important it is to have your furry friend with you, but we do charge a small extra fee per night per dog (max 2 dogs).
We also request that dogs do not go on any soft furnishings and are kept on a lead when outside, as we do have farms near us that may not take kindly to having dogs on their land. We would also kindly request that dog owners try to pick up their dog's mess where possible and pop it in a bag in one of the outside bins.
** Dogs are NOT to be left alone in the Cottage without their owners supervision at any time **
It should also be noted that we ourselves have a very friendly dog called Rua and slightly more shy cat called Ùna, who you may spot around the place. We will do our utmost to keep them away from your garden and private space, but should they make their way up to your cottage please do notify us and we will retrieve them!
Foxglove Cottage, whilst it is completely private, guests should be aware that it is located close to our own family home. We shall, however, leave you completely undisturbed, unless you require some help or attention.
During your stay, one of us will have to attend to some hot tub maintenance. This will all be done outside without having to disturb guests, but it does mean that we have to come to your outdoor terrace to do so.
We will aim do this at 1pm each day. If this time does not suit you, please let us know and we can happily arrange a time that better suits.
Unfortunately, this is an adults only property as it is not suitable for children.
